Presumably this requirement was generated by <br />concern with respect to the flood plain on the adjacent Rum River. I have <br />reviewed the National Flood Insurance Floodway Boundary Maps and have <br />determined that the 100 year flood plain elevation for this parcel is 859.2. <br />Therefore, your proposed lowest floor elevation of 863.2 is in compliance with our <br />flood plain zoning ordinance. It is therefore my opinion that a building permit <br />may be issued in conformance with the Certificate of Survey prepared by Dennis <br />B. Taylor, R.L.S. dated September 30, 1992. <br /> <br />Also be advised that the recent passage of the Wetland Conservation Act of 1991 <br />prevents the filling of wetlands.
