I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #92-09- RESOLUTION /PROCLAIMING THE WEEK OF OCTOBER 5 11, 1992 AS LOCAL CABLE PROGRAMMING WEEK wHEREAs, local cable programming brings our community's political, educational, cultural, sports and special events to television; and WHEREAS, local cable programming is produced in conjunction with a variety of community groups, including Anoka-Hennepin School District, Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce, LeagU~ of Women Voters and other civic organizations; and WHEREAS, 84 hours of original local programming are cablecast each week; and wHEREAs, Quad Cities Community Television is making it possible for this community s~rvice to be brought to Ramsey; and wHEREAS, 9,000 citizens in Ramsey are served by Quad Cities Community Television; and WHEREAS, the partners in local cable programming are to be commended for their efforts to keep loc.iff citizens in Ramsey informed, enlightened and entertained. NOW TItEREF~ORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSI~Y, !ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That ~e Ramsey City Council hereby proclaims the week of October 5 - 11, 1992 as Local Programm)ng Week in the City of Ramsey. The motion: for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember an~l upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the follOwingivoted against the same: and the following;abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said r~solution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 22nd day of September, 1992.
