CITY OFi RAMSEY'S PAYABLE 1993 PROPOSED PROPERTY TAX LEVY AND BUDGET PUBLIC HEARING DATE By: Sandra Ashley Helling, Finance Officer Background: The Budget Com~nittee will be meeting before the Council meeting this evening to finalize their recommendation ~r the City of Ramsey's Payable 1993 Proposed Property Tax Levy. The proposed levy and a public ~earing date must be certified to the Anoka County Auditor's office on or before September 15, 1992. i~i~e event a recommendation is not forthcoming this evening, Council will need to schedule a special me~tiag t01adopt the proposed levy. With the requirements for posted notice of such a meeting, MondaY, S6ptemb~r 14, 1992 would be the date if a special meeting is required. The City o£R~un~'s 1993 public budget hearing must be held between November 30 and December 21, 1992, and the~ateiof the hearing and possible reconvene date may not conflict with the dates selected by the county or,~cho~l districts. We have received notice from Anoka County that the other governmental units have set,he following hearing dates: Public.
