Couneilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #92-08- RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT g02-17 CONTRACT FOR WHEREAS, resolutions were adopted on July 28, 1992 authorizing the solicitation of bids for Project g92~17; and WHEREAS, the following bids were received on August 21, 1992: Contractor Bid $491 215.27 · $475 163.00 $417296.O8 $468 468.40 $473425.50 $459.339.43 $474 175.88 $419,576.05 $506,786.98 $499,513.00 $446,232.00 Arcon Construction Barbarossa & Sons Bonine Excavating Brown & Cris, Inc. Burschville Construction Kenko, Inc. Landwehr Heavy Moving Northdale Construction Progressive Contractors S. J. Louis Construction Engineer's Estimate AND WHEREAS, Bonine Excavating, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Bonine Excavating, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for Improvement Project 4/92-17 in the amount of $417,296.08. 1) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. 2) The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 25th day of August, 1992.
