Councilmemb~r ~ :, .~ introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION g92-08- RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR IMPRO.VE~MENT PROJECT #91-01 (EXTENSION OF SANITARY SEWER AND WATER FROM R35-32-25-31-0008 TO THE EASTERN CITY BOUNDARY) WHERI~AR,i by a resolution passed by the City Council on August 11, 1991, the City Administrator ~w~ di(eeted to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost of the improvement of water and sewer extension from!R35-32-25-31-0008 to the Eastern City boundary; and wHEREAS, i the City Administrator has notified the City Council that such proposed assessment has been completed ~.~d filed in his office for public inspection. NOW THERF-~o~E, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, /~NOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: I) That a p~bli¢ lhearing shall be held on September 8, 1992 at 7:30 p.m. at the Ramsey Municipal Center, tO pa~s upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning proper~y affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessme~nt. 2) That the-CitY, Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice of the public hearing on the propos~asaeSsment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearin§,' ~and!~e shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. He shall also cause ma|le~J:n~tice ~to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll not less than two w~e~s pfibr to the hearings. 3) That the 0wn~ of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the assessment by the COunl~y Auditor, pay the whole of the assessment of such property, with interest accrued to the date :of Pa'. ~ment to the City, except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid witl~n 3(, days from the adoption of the assessment. The owner may at any time, thereafter, pay t° rth~ Cily the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with interest accrued to Deeemb6r 3i of the year in which such payment is made. Such payment must be made before Octobex ~5 or interest will be charged through December 31 of the succeeding year.
