Councilmemb~r; introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ~)2-02 (CRACK FILLING AND SEALCOATING OF WHITE PINE~; ESTATES ADDITION) WHERI~A$~ by a resolution passed by the City Council on August 11, 1991, the City AdministratOrwas directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost of improvements on streets in White Pines E~tat~ Addition; and wHEREAS, i the City Administrator has notified the City Council that such proposed assessment has been compleied and filed In h~s office for pubhc mspecnon. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That a public!hearing shall be held on September 8, 1992 at 7:30 p.m. at the Ramsey Municipal Center~ to pa~s upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning propertY afl ,~,ted by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessment. 2) That th¢i citY~ Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice of the public hearing on the propos~e~!' asS~sment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing; ~and he shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. He shall also cause mailec~n~tice[to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll not less than two weeks prior to the hearings. 3) That the Owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the assessment by th~ C.0unty~ Auditor, pay tile whole of the assessment of such property, with interest accrued to the dat~ of Pfi~,ment to the City, except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of the assessment. The owner may at any time, thereafter, pay tothe CLty the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with interest accrued to DeCerabar 31iof the year in which such payment is made. Such payment must be made before Octob~r i5 °rjnterest will be charged through December 31 of the succeeding year. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote baing [hken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following vet~ against the same: and the following were absent: and the following abstained: whereupon said resolOtion was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 1 lth day of Augu~t~ 1992.[ , ATTEST: Mayor City Administrator
