I I I I I I I I I I I I Councilmem ~l:~.~ ,',; introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION g92-08- RESOLUTI0~N C~LLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR IM~PRO~ENT PROJECT g92-06 (CRACK FILLING AND SEALCOATING OF TRAPROCK COI~IMONS ADDITION) WHE~RI~AS~, by a resolution passed by the City Council on August 11, 1991, the City Administrator W~:rd[irex:ted to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost of improvements on Traprock Commons Addition; hAd WHER]~A~ the City Administrator has notified the City Council that such proposed assessment has been cortil~lfited ~d filed in his office for public inspection. NOW TI, IERI~FO~E, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, AI~IO~A COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That a~pgbli~, hearing shall be held on September §, 1992 at 7:30 p.m. at the Rarnsey Municipal Ce~te~, to P~s upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning propar~y~affe~ted by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such aSScssmimt. 2) That the. City Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice of the public hearing on the propo~..~l assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the heari~ng, tand he shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. He shall also cause maileM n~tiee~to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll not less than two we, t~ks prior to the hearings. 3) That the °whir of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the assessment by the'C~unt9 Auditor, pay the whole of the assessment of such property, with interest accrued to the-dat~ Of payment to the City, except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid W~thin ~30 days from the adoption of the assessment. The owner may at any time, thereafter, pay to:the Ci)y the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with interest accrued to Decemb~.r 31[ of the year in which such payment is made. Such payment must be made before Octob~ !5 or, interest will be charged through December 31 of the succeeding year.
