CASE # <br /> <br /> APPROVAL OF WOOD POND HILLS 2ND '~ADI~ITION <br /> DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT AND REVIEW OF <br /> ASSOCIATED IMPROVEMENTS <br /> By: Steven Jankowski, City Engineer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />As you may recall, City Council has awarded a contract to S.J. Louis Construction in the amount <br />of $447,318 for utility and street improvements associated with the Wood Pond Hills subdivision. <br />This award covered improvements to 32 lots, however, contract documents were prepared to <br />solicit an alternate bid for the development of 16 additional lots on lodine Court N.W, which <br />would become Wood Pond Hills 2nd Addition. The developer has now decided to proceed with <br />the development of this additional phase. <br /> <br />The underground contractor is rapidly finishing his underg'round utility work and must be awarded <br />the alternate bid within the next few days to avoid additional mobilization costs not anticipated in <br />his original bid. <br /> <br />The City Council must authorize award of alternate "F" in the amount of $42,365.50 to S.J. Louis <br />to proceed with this work. In order to assure the recovery of these expenditures by special <br />assessment, the enclosed Development Agreement must be executed. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends adopting a resolution authorizing the award of Alternate "F" of the bid proposal <br />submitted by S.J. Louis Construction on June 5, 1992 in the amount of $42,365.50 contingent <br />upon the developer entering into a Development A~eement for the assessment of the project cost. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Adopt Resolution g~92-08- authorizing the award of Alternate "F" of the bid proposal submitted <br />by S.J.
