Councilmemb~ <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION g92-07- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A $500.00 <br />ESCROW FOR FIRE SUPPRESSION SERVICES <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Charter contains an 'all powers' grant which states, in part, <br />"The City shall have all power which it may now or hereafter be possible for a municipal <br />corporation in ibis State to exercise ..."; and <br /> <br /> wHERE&S, the City of Ramsey's open burn permit application specifies that fire <br />suppression se.i'vie6s necessitated by an open bum permit shall be charged at an hourly rate for the <br />Fire Departme ~nt pi~s any other costs incurred by the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, as the application contains the signature of the property owner, this <br />application sc,~es ias the agreement between the City of Ramsey and the property owner for <br />contracted services; and <br /> <br /> WHERE/SS, at the Council's Budget Committee meeting of June 23, 1992, Staff <br />recommended: the ~ity require open burn permit applicants to deposit the sum of Five Hundred and <br />No/100 Dollar~ ($500.00) in escrow with the City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Budget Committee approved this recommendation and hereby <br />recommends th~ R~msey City Council authorize the establishment of a $500.00 escrow deposit for <br />all open burnpermi~s applications. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, A~NOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That th~ R ~aynsey City Council hereby requires an escrow deposit in the amount of Five <br /> Hundred an4t No/100 Dollars ($500.00) be made at the time of application for an open bum <br /> permit.: : <br /> <br />The motion for!the, adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> and @pon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof.' <br />and the following vOted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following Were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the 14th day ofiJuly, 1992. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />
