CITY OF RgMSEY'S 1991 <br /> <br />CASE <br /> <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENTS AND AUDIT REPORT <br /> <br /> By: Sandra Ashley Helling, Finance Officer <br /> <br />Background; <br /> <br />Minnesota State Statutes §471.596, Financial reporting; audits; cities of more than 2,500 population, <br />requires the followihg: <br /> <br /> Publleauon m a qualified newspaper of general circulation in the City of a summary of the <br /> City's ~inan¢ial report no later than 30 days after the report is due in the Office of the State <br /> Auditor. <br /> <br /> One copy of the financial report shall be furnished to the State Auditor after the close of the <br /> fiseal year. <br /> <br /> Fil° th~ financial report for public inspection and present it to the City Council after the <br /> ciose o~' the ~scal year. <br /> <br /> Submit, to tt~e State Auditor audited financial statements which have been attested to by a <br /> certifie~l pul~lic accountant, public accountant or the State Auditor within 180 days after the <br /> ciose of the ~iflcal year. <br /> <br />Audited financial statements and the State Auditor's financial reporting form were delivered to the State <br />Auditor's offibe o0 June 29, 1992. We are preparing the summary financial report schedules for <br />publication initheJuly 17, 1992 or July 24, 1992 issue of the Anoka County Union. One copy of the <br />financial state~nent§ has been placed in the public information section on the counter in the lobby. Copies <br />of the audited financial report were distributed to Councilmembers on July 2, 1992. Although not required <br />by State statues, ~e City of Ramsey also publishes a summary of the City's financial report in the <br />Ramsey Resld~ra n~wsletter. <br /> <br />This evening'sipraa~ntation will focus on the audit report and management letter received from Malloy, <br />Karnowski, R~o~ich & Co., Inc.
