BASIC ENGINEERING SERVICES <br /> <br />The following basic engineering services shall be provided' <br /> <br />O <br /> <br />0 <br /> <br />O <br /> <br />O <br /> <br />O <br /> <br />O <br /> <br />0 <br /> <br />0 <br /> <br />O <br /> <br />0 <br /> <br />O <br /> <br />0 <br /> <br />O <br /> <br />O <br /> <br />Review preliminary plans and modify as may be required to ensure adequate design <br />standards. <br />Prepare cost estimate for construction cost. <br />Prepare plans, specification and contract documents. <br />Prepare exhibits and submittals necessary to secure approval from the lower Rum River <br />Water Management Organization. <br />Submit application and supporting information to secure dewatering permits for <br />construction dewatering. <br />Secure regulatory agency review approvals of the plans and specifications. Approvals will <br />be required from Metropolitan Waste Control Commission, Department of Health and <br />Metropolitan Council. <br />Submit plans and necessary supporting information to secure MnDOT approval for the <br />construction of Sunfish Lake Boulevard N.W. as an MSA roadway. Contract documents <br />should be formatted to allow a separate award of the MSA road project since MnDOT <br />approval will likely occur after construction of the underground utilities are desired to have <br />commenced. <br />Submit information required by the Anoka County Highway Department to secure a permit <br />for access to County Road #5. The County has been contacted and has submitted <br />comments on this preliminary plat. The County Highway Department will require <br />submission of documentation verifying that runoff to the ditch line adjacent to the County <br />Road will not exceed the pre-development conditions. <br />Soficit bids from qualified contractors by preparing notification for the City legal newspaper <br />and trade magazine. <br />Attend bid opening, tabulate bids received and prepare recommendation for City Council <br />on award. <br />Conduct preconstruction conference and attend meetings as required for the satisfactory <br />progression of the project. <br />Submit necessary reports and reimbursement requests to obtain the disbursements of MSA <br />construction funds for that segment of the project. <br />Conduct project site visits by the engineer in charge to ensure satisfactory progress and <br />compliance with specifications. <br />Prepare change orders and review and approve contractor pay requests. <br />Make interpretation of plans and specifications. <br />Prepare as-built plans. <br /> <br />WORK BY OTHERS <br /> <br />The Engineer anticipates that in addition to the provisions of Section IV of the agreement, the <br />following work items will be performed by others: <br /> <br />Upon initiation of the work, the engineer will be supplied with a final plat and with a <br />preliminary plat drawn to a scale of one inch to 1 O0 feet having two-foot contour intervals. <br />Intersection elevations and critical high and Iow point street grades will be provided. <br /> <br />A-2 <br /> <br /> <br />
