W!'I~.RE, AS, at the Budget Commmee meeting of June 23, 1992, Staff further recommende5~! th{ City establish the following fee effective August 1, 1992: Bui!d!ng':qonstmction: Wate AV~lability Charge (WAC) New $725.00/residential equivalent WH[ RE4kS, the Minnesota Department of Health has notified the City of Ramsey that the sum of $5.71 anngally must be collected from every service connection served by Ramsey's water supply with {~ne,fourth of the total yearly fee due to the Minnesota Department of Health on or before SePte~.~berl30, 1992; and wI!i~REAS, the City of Ramsey must include this "Fee for safe drinking water testing program m~ latO by federal law" beginning with the utility billings for the second quarter of 1992 to comply ~i' h th{ requirements established by the Laws of Minnesota 1992, Chapter 513, Article 6, Section 2. WIt~E~EAs, the Budget Committee concurred with Staff's recommendations and directed the F!nanoe· ~ Officer to prepare this resolution for Council approval. NOW TIt~I~EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMi~Y, :3,NOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That_tile R~u'nsey City Council hereby amends the City's municipal water and sewer rates, charge~ an~l fees effective June 29, 1992 as detailed within the body of this resolution. 2) That.! sey City Council hereby establishes a Water Availability Charge (WAC) in the amoUn~t of $725.00 per residential equivalent effective August 1, 1992.
