Councilmembdr <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION #92-06- <br /> <br />RESOLUT!(~N: iAUTHORIZING TRANSFER FROM THE CITY OF RAMSEY <br />TIPPING ~'BE FUND TO THE EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT FUND <br /> WHE,EAS, at the Budget Committee meeting of May 26, 1992, the Committee <br />reviewed the landfiil tipping fee revenue received to date in 1992; and <br /> WHEREAs, Minnesota State Statutes Section 115A.921 of the Solid Waste Management <br />Act restricts $~5/¢~bic yard of the Tipping Fee Fund to expenditures for the purpose of mitigating <br />and compenq~ing!for local risks, cost and other adverse effects of landfill activities, and the <br />remaining til:ipi~ng fee is available for any general purpose as authorized by the City Council; and <br /> [ <br /> WHEREAS, landfill activity for the months of January through April of 1992 has <br />resulted in tip~inglfee revenue to the City of Ramsey in the amount of $94,932, with $70,794 <br />available for ar~[y gdneral purpose; and <br /> WHEREA~;, Staff recommended that 1992 and 1993 tipping fee revenues available for <br />any general:p,~rpose be transferred to the City's Equipment Revolving Fund which has an <br />unfunded bal~r~ee ~,~ approximately $195,924 as of December 31, 1991; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Budget Committee concurred with this recommendation and directed the <br />Finance Offiee.i' tOll~repare this resolution for Council approval. <br />NOW THERiEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSES, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the. Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the operating transfer of funds for landfill <br /> tiPpffig~ee ~evenue available for any general purpose from the Landfill Tipping Fund to the <br /> Equipment~ Replacement Fund. <br /> <br />2) That t~ Rgmsey City Council hereby directs these transfers to occur at the end of each <br /> month ~olI6wing receipt of such funds and continue until such time as the Equipment <br /> Replacement Fund is fully funded for 12/31/91 requirements. <br /> <br />The motion for~ the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> rand upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the followiiag vOted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resOlution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the 9th day of.~une 1992. <br /> <br /> <br />
