I <br /> <br />Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #92-06- <br /> <br />RESOLUTIO~t AUTHORIZING REQUEST FOR REIMBURSEMENT OF MUNICIPAL <br />EXPENSES FOR ~PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY ELECTION OF APRIL 7, 1992 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS_, Minnesota Laws of 1992, Chapter 511, Article 1, Section 4 provides for <br />reimbursemen£ of certain Presidential Primary Election expenses which were incurred by cities and towns; <br />and <br /> WHI~REAS,I the City of Ramsey was notified all requests for reimbursement are to be made on <br />the claim form s0ppiicd by the Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State, and <br /> WHERI~AS~ claims forms that are incomplete or not received by the Secretary of State on or <br />before June 8, l ?92 Will be ineligible for reimbursement; and <br /> wHER~AS, the City's Finance Office completed the claim form in advance of Council <br />authorization du~ to 'the deadline of June 8, 1992; and <br /> WHEREAS~ the City of Ramsey is requesting reimbursement in the amount of $2,369.66 as <br />expenditures eiil~ibl¢ for reimbursement; and <br /> <br /> WHER~AS_,ithe actual reimbursement to be received is uncertain, as the Secretary of State will <br />prorate the reimtiurse.inent amount based upon total requests received and available funds; and <br /> WHERI~AS,all reimbursement payments should be received by cities and towns by August 31, <br />1992. <br /> <br />NOW THERF~ORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY' ~OK~ COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the .llams~ ey City Council hereby affirms and authorizes the request for reimbursement of <br /> certain!Fresic~ential Primary Election expenses in the amount of $2,369.66 as submitted to the <br /> Secretar~rof State on May 29, 1992 <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and uPon!vote- being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following votb. d against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said ~solotion was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 9th <br />day of June, 1992. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />City AdministratOr r <br /> <br /> <br />
