Councilmember its adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved for RESOLUTION #92-06- RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFI~,~'~I~NS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT g92-05 (SEALCOATING OF OLD COUNTY ROAD #5) WHI~EA$, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Ramsey City Council on May 12, 1992, the Ci~ ~n~neer has prepared contract documents and specifications for the sealcoating of Old County R(~ad ~ and has presented such contract documents and specifications to the Council for approval. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEy, /~NOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That sugh c~ntract documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a ,part ;hereof, are hereby approved. 2) That, thc City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the ~2onstruction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such imprOv'eme~nt under such approved contract documents and specifications. The adveffi~eme,~t shall be published for 10 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bias Will be received by the City Administrator until 2:00 p.m. on July 2, 1992 at which t~ ne~ t~ey will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal Center. Y ~e City Administrator and City Engineer, will then be tabulated, and will be conside ed' by the Ramsey City CouneiI at 7:30 P.M. on July 14, 1992 in the Council Chamb~;rs. ~kny bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be ',4ve.~. an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will bO', onal,dered unless sealed and filed with the City Administrator and accompanied by a cash t ep°~lt, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City of Ramsey for five I5):percent of the amount of such bid.
