The City Council.°~f the City of Ramsey, Minnesota hereby ordains: SECTION 1. ~ ~L~I~]~],fiJ[~Y~ The following official summary of Ordinance ~)2- has been approved by the City Council of the City of ~sc~ as clearly informing the public of the intent and effect of the ordinance. It is the intent~andlcffect of Ordinance ~)2- to update the Chapter in accordance with Federal regulations regarding flood plain requirements. A printed cot~y ofi Ordinancc ~/92- is available for inspection by any person at the Ramsey Municipal Cdn[tcr. This ordinance becomes effective upon its passage and thirty (30) days after publication according SECTION 2. AMENDMENT Section 9.50,35 of ~he City Code is amended to read as follows: 9.50.38 iFLOOD PLAIN REQUIREMENTS. Subd. ~. Review Criteria: No lantt sh[tll be subdivided which is unsuitable for the reason of flooding, inadequate drainage, Water supply or sewage treatment facilities. All lots within the flood plain district8 sh~ll contain a building site at or above the Regulatory Flood Protection Elevation. All s~ ~l~:liVi~ions shall have water and sewage treatment facilities that comply with the proviSiOns pf this Ordinance and have road access both to the subdivision and to the indivtdjaal ~uilding sites no lower than two feet below the Regulatory Flood Protection Elevafibn. !For all subdivisions in the flood plain, the Floodway and Flood Fringe boun~la~es,i the Regulatory Flood Protection Elevation and the required elevation of all access froa~ shall be clearly labelled on all required subdivision drawings and platting doeument.~. Subd. 2. Floodway/Flood Fringe Determinations in the General Flood Plain District: In the~ (~3ene. ral Flood Plain District, applicants shall provide the information required in Secfi°~9.2~.06 Sub& 2 of the City Code to determine the 100-year flood elevation, the Flood~x~ay 'and Flood Fringe District boundaries and the Regulatory Flood Protection Elevafi6r[ fdr the subdivision site.
