ANOKA COUNTY <br /> ~ STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br /> ? <br />AMENDMI~NTiTO CHAPTER 9 OF THE RAMSEY CITY CODE WHICH IS <br />KNOWN i P.$ THE ZONING AND SUBDIVISION OF LAND CHAPTER OF THE <br />CITY CODE. i <br />AN OROI A Ce AMENDING CI APTER 9 AND REPEALING SECTION <br />9.$0.38 EN~ITI~ED "FLOOD PLAIN REQUIREMENTS". <br />The City Council.°~f the City of Ramsey, Minnesota hereby ordains: <br />SECTION 1. ~ ~L~I~]~],fiJ[~Y~ <br />The following official summary of Ordinance ~)2- has been approved by the City Council of <br />the City of ~sc~ as clearly informing the public of the intent and effect of the ordinance. <br />It is the intent~andlcffect of Ordinance ~)2- to update the Chapter in accordance with Federal <br />regulations regarding flood plain requirements. <br /> <br />A printed cot~y ofi Ordinancc ~/92- is available for inspection by any person at the Ramsey <br />Municipal Cdn[tcr. <br /> <br />This ordinance becomes effective upon its passage and thirty (30) days after publication according <br /> <br />SECTION 2. AMENDMENT <br /> <br />Section 9.50,35 of ~he City Code is amended to read as follows: <br />9.50.38 iFLOOD PLAIN REQUIREMENTS. <br /> Subd. ~. Review Criteria: <br /> No lantt sh[tll be subdivided which is unsuitable for the reason of flooding, inadequate <br /> drainage, Water supply or sewage treatment facilities. All lots within the flood plain <br /> district8 sh~ll contain a building site at or above the Regulatory Flood Protection Elevation. <br /> All s~ ~l~:liVi~ions shall have water and sewage treatment facilities that comply with the <br /> proviSiOns pf this Ordinance and have road access both to the subdivision and to the <br /> indivtdjaal ~uilding sites no lower than two feet below the Regulatory Flood Protection <br /> Elevafibn. !For all subdivisions in the flood plain, the Floodway and Flood Fringe <br /> boun~la~es,i the Regulatory Flood Protection Elevation and the required elevation of all <br /> access froa~ shall be clearly labelled on all required subdivision drawings and platting <br /> doeument.~. <br /> <br /> Subd. 2. Floodway/Flood Fringe Determinations in the General Flood Plain District: <br /> <br /> In the~ (~3ene. ral Flood Plain District, applicants shall provide the information required in <br /> Secfi°~9.2~.06 Sub& 2 of the City Code to determine the 100-year flood elevation, the <br /> Flood~x~ay 'and Flood Fringe District boundaries and the Regulatory Flood Protection <br /> Elevafi6r[ fdr the subdivision site. <br /> <br /> <br />
