MUNICIPAL WATER <br /> <br />! Subd- 1. Operation~ Heco~ls ~nd ln~ction <br /> <br /> ~he City shall provide for the proper operation and maintenance <br /> iof the municipal water system and shall enforce all rules and <br /> !regulations pertaining to the same. <br /> <br />~b. !The City shall keep a record of the exact location and size of all <br /> iparts of the municipal water systems, connections thereto, and <br /> Iother measurements or records which may be necessary. <br /> <br /> c. The City shall superintend all connections for service, and <br /> iexamine all service pipes to ensure that they are properly laid, <br /> land that all meters are properly installed and operating. The City <br /> lalso shall have charge of inspecting the premises entered by <br /> iservice pipes, examining the condition of all water fixtures, and <br /> ishalI warn against all abuses of the municipal water systems <br /> iincluding potential cross connections. <br /> <br />d. fNo person other than an employee of the City shall operate the <br /> Icurb-stop (shut-off valve). <br />i subd. 2. Applications for Service <br /> <br />~:a. !Any customer desiring to connect a dwelling, building, or other <br />i [structure to the municipal water system shall apply therefore on a <br /> :~form provided by the City. Said form shall call for such <br />~_~information as the Council may from time to time require. <br />lb. iThe owner shall connect to the municipal water system at the <br /> itime of sewer connection. <br /> c. iThe owner of all dwellings, buildings, other structures or <br /> iproperties shall connect within two (2) years of the date that <br /> imunicipal water service is available to the premises. Any <br /> ~property owner who can demonstrate that hookup to municipal <br /> iwater is not feasible due to distance, topography, or pending land <br /> '~use change shall not be required to hookup. At that specific time <br /> ihowever, hookup may be required in the future upon changing of <br />: ~circumstances. <br />id. iEach applicant by such application shall agree to be bound by all <br />. 'iprovisions of this ordinance, amendments thereto and all rules <br />~ iand regulations established by the City relating to the City's <br />~ ;municipal water system. <br /> <br />Page3 <br /> <br /> <br />
