~ 2~04 <br /> <br />Park and lO. creation Commission <br /> <br /> Sub& 6. Commissioners may resign voluntarily or may be removed <br />from office by a majority vote of the City Council. Three consecutive unexcused <br />absences from duly called commission meetings shall constitute automatic <br />resignation from office. Vacancies in the commission are to be filled by City <br />Cou:,~cil appointment with a majority vote, <br /> <br />Sub& 7. Commissioners shall serve without compensation. <br /> <br />2.04.08 Rules and Procedures. The commission shall adopt such ru]es and <br />procedures not inconsistent with these provisions as may be necessary for the <br />proper execution and conduct of business. <br /> <br />2.04.09 Meetings. Regular meetings shall be held at least once a month with <br />date and time determined by the commission. Special meetings may be called by <br />the chairman. All meetings shall be public meetings and open to the public. <br /> <br />2.04,10 Ex.officio Members. The mayor may appoint a council member of city <br />staff person as an ex-officio member of the commission privileged to speak on any <br />matter without a vote, and the ex-officio member shall provide a liaison between the <br />commission and city council. <br /> <br />~i~torical Note <br /> <br />Established by Ord. 77-3, February 28, 1977. <br /> <br />2.05 <br /> <br />Economic Development Commission <br /> <br />2.05.0I Establishment of Commission. An Economic Development <br />Commission for the City of R~msey is hereby established. The Commission shall <br />be the City's Development Commission. <br /> <br />2.05.02 Purpose. The purpose of the Commission will be to further the <br />economic development of l~.amsey and ~dcinity; to aid, assist and promote the <br />growth, expansion and development of business and industrial concerns, <br />inclu~ng small business concerns in said area and thereby to contribute to the <br />economic well-being of the area as measured by increased employment, pa)voI1, <br />business volume, tax base and corresponding factors. <br /> <br />2.05.03 Composition- <br /> <br /> SubdivisionL The Comm/ssion shall consist of~¢g'n~e, jmembers who <br />shall be appointed by the City Council and may be removed by a majority vote of the <br />Council. <br /> <br />..~- ' ...... · -~Subd.!
