~ 2~04 Park and lO. creation Commission Sub& 6. Commissioners may resign voluntarily or may be removed from office by a majority vote of the City Council. Three consecutive unexcused absences from duly called commission meetings shall constitute automatic resignation from office. Vacancies in the commission are to be filled by City Cou:,~cil appointment with a majority vote, Sub& 7. Commissioners shall serve without compensation. 2.04.08 Rules and Procedures. The commission shall adopt such ru]es and procedures not inconsistent with these provisions as may be necessary for the proper execution and conduct of business. 2.04.09 Meetings. Regular meetings shall be held at least once a month with date and time determined by the commission. Special meetings may be called by the chairman. All meetings shall be public meetings and open to the public. 2.04,10 Ex.officio Members. The mayor may appoint a council member of city staff person as an ex-officio member of the commission privileged to speak on any matter without a vote, and the ex-officio member shall provide a liaison between the commission and city council. ~i~torical Note Established by Ord. 77-3, February 28, 1977. 2.05 Economic Development Commission 2.05.0I Establishment of Commission. An Economic Development Commission for the City of R~msey is hereby established. The Commission shall be the City's Development Commission. 2.05.02 Purpose. The purpose of the Commission will be to further the economic development of l~.amsey and ~dcinity; to aid, assist and promote the growth, expansion and development of business and industrial concerns, inclu~ng small business concerns in said area and thereby to contribute to the economic well-being of the area as measured by increased employment, pa)voI1, business volume, tax base and corresponding factors. 2.05.03 Composition- SubdivisionL The Comm/ssion shall consist of~¢g'n~e, jmembers who shall be appointed by the City Council and may be removed by a majority vote of the Council. ..~- ' ...... · -~Subd.!
