Provide administrative assistance to the Fire Chief, promote <br /> communication within the Fire Department and between the Fire <br /> Department and other community leaders. <br /> <br />b. Act as a selection board for the Fire Chief and make <br /> recommendations to the City Council. <br /> <br />c. Review Fire Department operation on a quarterly basis and assist <br /> the Fire Ghief in determining possible areas of improvements, <br /> <br />d. Review and approve rules and regulations for the Fire <br /> Department. <br /> <br />e. Act as Fire Chief administratively in the absence of the Fire <br /> Chief. <br /> <br />f. Confirm Officer appointment by the Fire Ckief. <br /> <br />2.08.05 Composition. The Board shall be composed of the City administrator, <br />two members of the City Council appointed annually at the first regular meeting of <br />the City Council in January, three fire fighters nominated and appointed by all fire <br />fighters annually no later than January 15, one person appointed by the City <br />Council, and the Fire Chief (ex officio). <br /> <br />2.08.06 ~iember Mefl:~od of Selection- Term of Office Removal <br /> <br /> Subclivisionl The chairperson shall be selected annually by a <br />majority vote of the Board. The chairperson may be removed by a majority vote of <br />the Board.
