Following the adoption of the ordinan¢~ t~qrp-lan was that the City would then submit a request to Minnesota Pollution Control A§on~y ~CA) requesting Ramsey authority to issue open burn permits. The current procedure ~0r ~]a~ bum permits includes a lengthy review process at MPCA. Observations:~ The PCA prO. Ute for requesting City authority .to issue open burn permits is as follows: 1. ' ~AdgPt Minnesota Rules 7005.0705 to 7005.0805 as a local ordinance. 2. !SuBmit a written statement to PCA requesting authorization to issue open burn ~,.p~its. 3. ! ! Sdr~d a certified copy of the motion naming those persons that are delegated the i authority to issue open burn permits within the community. Within the ~n Hum Ordinance just recently adopted, Ramsey has adopted Rules 7005.0705 to 7005.0805 b~ ~efetenCe. Authorize the City[Administrator to request PCA approval for Ramsey to issue its own open bum permits.
