qo <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />Final - Adopted 7/25/89 <br /> <br /> FINDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY ON THE APPLICATION OF <br />F & R ENTERPRISES, A MINNESOTA PARTNERSHIP <br /> FOR A/~ OPEN BUR/~ING PERMIT <br /> <br />By ~ppl'~ication dated June 18, 1989, and supplemented by <br />application received by the City on June 27, 1989, F & R <br />Enterprises, a Minnesota partnership ("F & R") , Suite 679, <br />Butler ~quare, Minneapolis, Minnesota, applied for an open <br />burn!ng~ permit in order to dispose of pine trees at its <br />prop~rt~ legally described as follows, to-wit: <br /> <br /> iNortheast Quarter of Northwest Quarter (NE¼ of <br /> ~NW~) of Section 29, Township 32, Range 25, <br /> i'eXeept the right-of-way line of the Burlington <br /> ~N or. thern Railway, Anoka County, Minnesota, <br /> iwhich is located northeast of the intersection <br /> ~.of iPuma Street and U.S. Highway 10. <br /> <br />("the site"). <br /> <br />A copy iof F & R' s June 27, 1989 Application is attached <br />hereto. :' <br /> <br />The ~pP]~ication was made pursuant to City Ordinance 83-7 and <br />Min~.i Rules, parts 7005.0700-.0820 and F & R has stated that <br />all bRrn~ng would be done in accordance with Minn. Rules, part <br />7005.!07510, Subd. 2. <br /> <br />At its r~gularly scheduled meeting on June 27, 1989, the City <br />CounC~il '~onsidered F & R's application. At said meeting F & <br />R s ~ePresentatlve was given the opportunity to present <br />evidehc~ and testimony. <br /> <br />That F &iR owns in total approximately 97 acres which property <br />lies ~en~rally north of U.S. Highway 10, west of Puma Street, <br />sou~h', of'. 153rd Avenue N.W. and east of County Road 83. <br /> <br />That a pine tree plantation has been planted on F & R's <br />property containing thOusands of pine trees. <br /> <br />That F &iR testified that in April, 1988, a passing train on <br />the B, ur~ington Northern tracks ignited a fire which fire <br />burne~ through several acres of F & R's property and destroyed <br />thous~nd.S of trees. <br /> <br /> <br />
