Additionally, it is our goal to provide a sliding ~e* ~eale option to low income persons living in Anoka who do not have healt~ i...n~urance or medical assistance to pay for mental health care. Our purpose iltipro~'iding these services is to enable people to function effectively in their com~l~ni.t~es, at their jobs and in their families as a result of the counseling and/or, psy~.hia~ric care they receive. It is also our goal to significantly reduce the freqae?¢¥ iof hospitalization due to mental illness of the people that we serve, thereby reducing: costs to governmental units, employers and individuals. We accomplisl- these ~toa!~ b~ l~rov±ding individual, marital and family counseling as well as ~syehia:r~e care to people requesting our services. .~2rr/oum of CDBG Funds Requested $ 1. 500.00 Specie Project 1~: scriprion: To provide_ coCnseling and psychiatric services to City of Ramsey resident:s. We wou~d utilt~-e t~e f~nd$ from Ramsey to enable lox, income persons, without insurance or medical a~si$~anee, to attend counsleing and/or be treated by our psychiatrist. The clien~ paFs a fee based on income and fmaily size and City of Ramsey funds would make _up~ a lpo.rttion of the difference between the actual cost of service and what the client pa~s based on the sliding fee scale.
