Schroeder, City Administrator <br /> <br />Backgroundi <br /> <br />At the Januaryi28, !992 City Council meeting it was directed that, with the exception of an existing <br />employment ¢~ntr4~c£ precedent to a policy being brought to this meeting, the City Administrator <br />draft a memory, duC reflecting Council action and desire to disallow use of City vehicles except for <br />direct work ac~.iviti~s. Enclosed for your review is a copy of that memorandum dated January 29, <br />1992 and a dragt PO~lice Department policy regarding use of vehicles and equipment. Also enclosccl <br />is a list of ou~-of-~own Public Works meetings, a previously reviewed past practice on use of <br />squad cars, a memCrandum from the Police Department on use of City vehicles dated February 4, <br />1992 and the ~mcn~ded Utilization of City Vehicle Case that went to the Budget Committee two <br />weeks ago.
