Ramsey had a goal of 650 tons for 19,91 x0hich was up from 301 tons for 1990. As the attached reports show, curbside recycling ac¢Oant~ for almost one-half of the total tonnage recycled. However, it would appear that the sucCe~ ~of:tDe curbside program has directly affected the use of the drop-off centers, as the weight of mate.~al l~as dropped significantly from 1990. Attaining the~oal !for 1991 allowed the City to receive $31,104.00 in funding for landfill abatement in 19,91,; 7l'hese funds were in turn, by Council directive, used to help fund the Curbside Recycling Pro~ ~g~xn; [ By reaching the 1991 goal the City will also be receiving an additional $5,000 from Anoka C~unty to be used for landfill abatement.
