' AN ORDIb~/ANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 7, SECTIONS 7.61 ENTITLED "CHARiTAbLE[GAMBLING" AND 7.62 "BINGO" OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, ~*II~ESOTA. The C~ty of R~sey ordains: SECTION iiiIi AUTHORITY This Ordinance is !dopted pursuant to the authority granted by Minnesota Statute Chapter 349.35. SECTION 2~ ! AMENDMENT The fol~owi~hg: subsection is added to Section 7.61: !7.6~.09 Expenditures for Lawful Purposes Within City's Trade ~ Area. [ iAn~ licensed organization conducting lawful gambling within the City shall be ~eqd, ired to expend 75% of its expen,ditures for lawful purposes on lawful purposes igon~Ucted or located within the City s trade area. ~: ~o~ .~urposes of this subsection, the term "trade area" is defined as the Cities of iR*u .sey, Anoka, Andover, and the Town of Bums in Anoka County; the City of ~I1~ ~,iVer in Sherbume County and the City of Dayton in Hennepin County. For Puli oses of the subsection, the term "lawful purpose(s)" is that definition assigned itO it by Minnesota Statute {}349.12, Subd. 25 (1991). This subsection shall apply ~o a] licensed organizations conducting lawful gambling within the City, including ~ing~o organizations as defined and regulated by Section 7.62 herein. The f01lowigg subsection of 7.62 is amended to read: ~he ~umber of bingo occasions will be as regulated under State Statute. SECTION ,~i- [ EFFECTIVE DATE This Ordinanc~ becomes effective thirty (30) days after its publication, subject to City Charter Section 5~07.
