Mr. Schroeder Page 2 December 16, 1991 Randall, Dehn & Goodrich 4 o Formal and informal legal advice to Council and staff, commissions and committees; Response to public inquiries on City matters; Formal and informal advice on personnel matters including interpretations of federal, state and local rules and regulations relating to personnel matters; and Staff meetings and meetings as deemed necessary by the City AdministKator in order to maintain communication and give legal advice on various City issues. Compensation: The City shall compensate each Firm attorney licensed to practice law for those services described in Paragraph 2 above, the following hourly rates: $75.00 per hour in 1992 and 1993 $80.00 per hour in 1994. The City shall compensate paralegals and law clerks at the rate of $27.50 per hour during 1992, 1993 and 1994. The present flat rate of $i00.00 per meeting will continue during the term of this Agreement for attendance at Council and Commission meetings. There will be no separate charge for clerical staff. The Firm shall also be separately reimbursed for any costs and disbursements which it incurs in connection with providing any of the services described in Paragraph 2 of this letter. Reimbursable costs and disbursements shall not include charges for secretarial or word processing services. Billings by the city Attorney to the City for services, costs and disbursements shall be made monthly or that frequency as directed by the City Finance Officer. The billing statement shall be of sufficient detail ~o adequately inform the City concerning the tasks performed, the attorney performing them, the time spent on each such task and the nature and the extent of costs and disbursements. it is the intention of the parties and it is hereby agreed by the City ~ ~ , ~ A~o~ney that the term "primary legal [ I I I I I I I I ] I I I I I I I I
