I I i i I ! i I I I I I I I I I I I I Councilme r ~ introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #92-01- RESOLUT~IibN :~RANTING PRELIMINARY APPROVAL OF THE CONCEPT OF THE MIS~I~SIi~,PI WEST REGIONAL PARK WITHIN THE CITY OF RAMSEY WH~] [E~S, the County of Anoka initiated acquisition of land for an eventual park developmer led by Herbert Huseby in 1975 located between U.S. Highway #10, the Mississippi ,nd just east of Traprock Street N.W. within the City of Ramsey; and S, Anoka County has proposed a total of 273.17 acres at this same location afl a regional park facility; and S~ this development would include a trail head, canoe access, camping nature and related passive park uses; and .S, development of the park as a regional facility will have a positive impact City of Ramsey within the Metropolitan Area. wHE] for areas and WIlE upon the ima NOW OF BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY ,NOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) Thatp~.eli~dnary concept approval is hereby granted to the proposal by Anoka County for a regi0n}l fa~:ility known as the Mississippi West Regional Park. 2) That~ece0ent to any final concept approval, it ~s &rected that the Anoka Count>, Parks Depa~medt work with the City of Ramsey Park and Recreation Commission on further development of the Regional Park Concept Plan and integration of this plan into existing and future lbark and trail developments within the City of Ramsey.
