In. i~e:[past, I have been involved in several other activi'ties that woUjd 4]so re]ate well to a seat on the City Council. I was involved wi[th the Coon Rapids 2010 Project as a member of the Econom~. Detvelopment Committee. In addition, I have also been Distric~ Delegate, Precinct Chair, House District Chair, and a member ~of ~he State Central Committee for my political party. Recently Il made and unsuccessful run for a seat on the Anoka- Hennepin SChool Board, losing by only 15 votes! Currently, I spend l~a y [hours of my free time working on and improving our educatio lal'I process on both a local and state level, N0.wIJ would like to tell you why I am interested in the Coun¢;~l~ ;ea~. My interest stems from my belief that individual invo].vem :nt[ by a citizen in the public arena is necessary to keep our sy~s .em~ honest and fair.
