Background,: <br /> <br /> Funding for the Ramsey Resident <br />By: Sandra Ashley Helling, Finance Officer <br /> <br />Case <br /> <br />During the i!Bud, get Public Hearing, there was discussion regarding the funding <br />recommendation Ito reduce the number of issues of the Ramsey Resident from twelve <br />to six for ~992,. Council directed that the Budget Oommittee review the funding <br />options to ~on'.tinue this publication at twelve issues per year. This change will <br />require an a~diti~nal revenue or financing source in the amount of $7,300.00. <br />Observatio~ls: ! <br />The City's G~ne~.al Fund 1992 Budget does contain a contingency of $51,186; however, <br />this reserveiwa~S established for salary adjustments in 1992. Other than for this <br />reserve, the~e simply ~s not $7,300 available at this time. While it could be that as <br />the year prqgre~ses we will be able to identify additional revenues or decrease the <br />funded expe~ditu~'es, this is not the case today. <br />There is a ~inar~cing source that is available for this type of activity. As recycling <br />gets signific~tnt ~,overage ~n the Resident, the required additional funding could come <br />from the La~dfilllTipping Fee Fund - restricted portion.
