CASE <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />PURCHASE OF LOADER FORKS AND SHOP HOIST <br />FOR PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT <br /> By: Merle Mevissen, Public Works Supervisor <br /> <br />In the 1992 Budget, $3,800.00 was budgeted for a set of loader forks with a quick tach coupler <br />system for ol!r w~J~eel loader. We also have $600.00 budgeted for a shop hoist for lifting <br />equipment in ihe ~.hop. I received a price quote from Sweeney Brothers Tractor, Inc., the dealer <br />for American [Coi~.bler Systems, which is the type of coupler we have on our loader. The price <br />quote is as follows[ <br /> <br />~ Cost $3,490.00 <br />Freight 300.00 <br />· Tax~ 226.85 <br />i Subtotal $4,016.85 <br />; Replacement Fund 200,84 <br />r f Total $4,217.69 <br /> <br />Northern HY~aulics has a shop hoist listed in their catalog for $255.00 which will serve our <br />purpose quite nicely. <br /> <br /> 'Hoist $255.00 <br /> [T x: ,16 ss <br /> : Subtotal $271.58 <br /> !RePlacement Fund 13.58 <br /> i Total $285.16 <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />In the 1992 B~dgel~, we listed these items with 10-year lives. We have amended this to 20 years <br />here. Total ¢~,t at~ter tax, freight and replacement allocation of the two purchases is $4,502.85 <br />which is $102,[85 .dyer the $4,400 budgeted.
