AU~g 14 -'~2 ll:BC4 AI4Ot(A..~HENN COMM EDUC <br /> <br />DATE; <br /> <br />TO:, <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />August 14, 1992 <br /> <br />Sandra Ashley Nelling, Finance Officer <br /> <br />Steve Kerr, Community Education Manager <br /> <br />Community School Budget 1993 <br /> <br />in 1992 the City of Ramsey and the Community Education Department of District <br />#11 have combined their resources to provide a Community School Program to the <br />citizens of Ramsey, The result of this cooperative effort has meant: <br /> <br /> · Children from Ramsey having 55.70 recreation and enrichment programs per <br /> quarter. <br /> <br /> · Comprehensive access to school facilities by community groups. <br /> <br /> · Hundreds of families and children served. <br /> <br /> · Significant contributions to the 'sense of community" in Ramsey. <br /> <br /> · Summer Program <br /> <br />The cost to the City of Ramsey for this program in 1992 is $24,613. <br /> <br />As you recall in 1993, the City of Ramsey is moving from the old financing formula <br />of 70/30 for the community school staff positions. The Community Education <br />Department wilt define a basic level of service that we are able to provide with our <br />resources; any additional services requested by the City beyond the base level will be <br />funded 100% by the City, <br /> <br />in order to provide exactly the same level of service as the City is receiving in 1992 <br />the requirements for funding in 1993 are as follows: <br /> <br /> o Community School Program-Ramsey Elementary $22,748 <br /> · Sandburg Middle School $5,684 <br /> · Summer Program $3,,400 <br />The total cost for the package would be $31,832. <br /> <br />If you should have any questions please, feel free to give me a call, <br /> <br /> <br />
