The sponsor of this improvement was Bruce Erickson of the Youth <br />Outreach Grod~ ~m the Lord of Life Church in Ramsey. This group has an interest in donating <br />$400 for youth~rel.a~ed activities again this year. The folks involved chose Peltzer Park as the place <br />and a two-pla¢~ sPling rider as the improvement. The toddler-suitable activity takes the form of a <br />blue whale wiG lse'. itzer Park's ponds providing a diminutive ocean-like background. <br /> <br />Last year City !Star £ reformatted the play equipment and retrofitted the playground with resilient <br />surfacing. Spate within the play area was deliberately left for spring riders, a popular event for the <br />very young. <br /> <br />Observatiomg <br /> <br />The cost ofth~ tW0~-ptace ride is $416 with tax and shipping bringing the total to $510. Lord of <br />Life's Outrea¢~ GrOup desires to allocate $400 towards purchase of the whale. This Staff person <br />has witnessed!gra,~dparents driving youngsters to the playground; a spring rider would be a <br />welcome compliment to the park.
