City of Ramsey Budget Public Hearing November 30, 1992 <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />What are the major revenue sources and what are the <br />changes? <br /> <br />Property Taxes @45% <br />Intergovernmental Transfers @38% <br />Licenses and Permits ~6% <br />Charges for Services @6% <br />Interest Earnings @3% <br />Other Revenue Sources @2% <br /> <br />The State of Minnesota has certified to the City of Ramsey <br />an increase in Homestead Credit payments in 1993. This <br />increase is $40,372; however, this payment, along with <br />the Local Government Aid is as risk in ]993 due to the <br />State's budgetary problems. The City of Ramsey has <br />increased rates for land use applications, building permits <br />and other services and charges. But the City is forecasting <br />lower interest earnings on investments due to the overall <br />market change. <br /> <br />See attached graph on Revenue Sources. <br /> <br />See attached graph on historical Local Government Aid <br />Transfer Payments. <br /> <br />What is the dollar amount of the proposed total spending for <br />the City of Ramsey in 19937 <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey's Total 1993 General Fund <br />Expenditures are proposed at $2,381,611. This includes a <br />transfer to the Equipment Replacement Fund in the <br />amount of $138,225. The Proposed expenditures for ]993 <br />are $]91,526 less than 1992. <br /> <br />Attached is a graph which shows the City's Budgeted <br />General Fund Expenditures since 1989. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
