A period of sixty days <br />shall el&~se after the conclusion of the public hearing required <br />by law tO precede the ordering of the construction of a local <br /> <br />improVemeht project (the "Public Hearing") before the actual <br />ordering Df ithe local improvement by the council and the council <br />entering iinto a contract for the local improvement construction. <br /> <br /> 8.04i. 02 Petition Aqainst the Local Improvement. If the <br />proposed iocal improvement was initiated by petition of the owners <br />of the tell Property abutting on the streets named in the petition, <br />and if, w~thin thirty days of the conclusion of the Public Hearing, <br />a petition against such local improvement is filed with the City <br />Administr~tor and which petition is signed by the percentage of the <br />owners of real property abutting on the streets named in the <br />initiatin~ P~tition as the location of the improvement at least <br />equal to ~he,percent of owners who signed the initiating petition, <br />the council shall not make such local improvement at the expense <br /> <br />of the said abutting property owners. Form "A", Section 8.04.06 <br />shall be the form of petition required for this section. <br /> <br /> 8.04i03 Counter Petition in Favor of the Improvement. If <br />within thirty days of the filing with the City Administrator of a <br />petition ~gainst the local improvement as described in Section <br />8.04.02 aboVe, there is filed with the City Administrator a <br /> <br />petition in favor of the local improvement, signed by the owners <br />of the re~l property abutting on the streets named in the initiat- <br />ing petition as the location of the improvement, at least equal in <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
