CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, March 10, 1992 at the Ramsey <br />Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor James Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Glen Hardin <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Members Absent: Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Finance Officer Sandra Ashley Helling <br />City Engineer Steven Jankowski <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frotik <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:05 p.m. and led in the <br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />John Ohanlon, 15341 Nutria Street N.W., Ramsey - was concerned that just sealcoating may not <br />be enough. He stated he has resided in Whispering Pines for 15 years, the road was put in which <br />was great; however, he was disappointed in the sealcoating that was done the first time. He added <br />the main roads had a much nicer sealcoating on them than his road. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that Whispering Pines was sealcoated eight years ago. He stated <br />he could not address the past job but when this project comes up during the public hearings, he <br />will give a brief description of what will be done to the streets. <br /> <br />Daryl Fults, 15410 Barium Street N.W., Ramsey - stated he has lived in Ramsey for 19 years and <br />has been a member of the Economic Development Commission since it was founded. He stated <br />that the EDC and the Planning and Zoning Commission have been working on the sign ordinance. <br />During discussion of Realtor signs, at the last meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission, <br />Commission Ben Deemer stated that Realtors are cheats and liars and they should be made to have <br />a license to do business in the City of Ramsey. Mr. Fults stated he feels that Mr. Deemer owes <br />Realtors a public apology. <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson stated this issue would be addressed and that the City Administrator will write a <br />report on the incident. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Hardin to approve the <br />agenda with the deletion of Case #7: Authorization for Arbor Month activities, tree sale and <br />Environmental Exposition.
