By: RAMSEY VIDEO UPDATE James Gromberg, Project Manager CASE #1 Background( City Staff, wit~in~0t from the Economic Development Commission, has completed a promotional video about 'tile ~ity of Ramsey for the Star City Program. This video was completed !n 1988/1989 an~hasibeen used in the past at different functions to promote the City. At today s meeting we Wil~ bd reviewing the video and making recommendations for its updating and change. Some of the char~ges that I would recommend for the EDC to make would be the updating of information that ij;provided in the video, such as: The W~l~Champion Minnesota Twins Site of the~l~}92 Super Bowl S tan ley[C ~t~ Play-Offs World U.S. Ot~eniiGolf Tournament Intema~on~i Special Olympics The growth of [h~ipopulation from 1970 figures to 1990 figures which are now available, possible changes in the ~ro~ps and services now available, and inclusion of the local arm of the Anoka Area Ch amber of Co~'rnrherce. I would recom~e.~d the centering of the graphics and developing a more pronounced ending to the video, At this ~in~ it may be a good idea for the EDC to look at the possibility of recreating the video using so~e ~f the existing good ideas and adding other ideas that will better promote the City in the future. ~ii~i, this suggestion in mind, I have included a copy of the script that was used to develop this' vi~ec/3 ~ You may make additions and deletions to the script as it currently appears and redevelop the pictet~es to go with the script for a new video for the City of Ramsey. Commission iA~tion: At this time I ~o~ld recommend the EDC make suggestions as to changes in the video and at a future meeting ~a~e the City present some ideas and possibly a_completed video using the services of the local cable ~ompany.
