As a member of the EDC, you made a commitment gulh~' meeting per month. In August of this year, I wrote a letter to you asking your rd~hg the EDC. At that point, you had missed seven of the first eight regular ;}91~.~ After receiving that letter, you called me and indicated that you were still na~tn, ing a member of the Commission. We have had four regular meetings since av~iattended one of the four meetings. That means that you have participated in tv43~ive regularly scheduled meetings for the year 1991. In light of tha{:, I!ifeel it is necessary for me to ask you to resign from the Commission. The Commission n~ed~ full participation from all of its members to function effectively, and it has become obvio~J} t~ me that you either do not have the time or the desire to be on the Commission.
