' PUBLIC HEARING <br /> , CITY COUNCIL <br /> ~ CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ' ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey ~it~ Council conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, July 14, 1992 at the Ramsey <br />Municipal Ceiite~ [15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota regarding Improvement <br />Project #92-1il (bituminous surfacing of Waco Street N.W. and Waco Drive N.W. from 179th <br />Large N.W. to ~the;~northem City boundary). <br /> <br /> Members Resent: Mayor James Gilbertson <br /> ~ ' Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br /> ~ ~ Councilmember Glen Hardin <br /> ~' Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br /> : Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br /> Also lh'es~nt: City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br /> ;i City Engineer Steven Jankowski <br /> ~: Finance Officer Sandra Helling <br /> Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />C^LL TO Olzr ER <br />Mayor Gilbert~n':¢alled the public hearing to order at 7:14 p.m. <br />PRESENTA'['I0N <br />City Engineer !a~kowski stated that the City received a petition for improvement of Waco Street <br />N.W. and W~coi .Drive N.W. from 179th Lane N.W. to the northern City boundary. The <br />estimated cosl~o~i~he project is $43,116. There are 13 units to be assessed which would be <br />approximately $3j300 per unit. <br /> <br />Gary Reimann} 18008 Waco Street N.W. - stated that he has acquired two more signatures for the <br />petition. <br /> <br />Oliver Wanstm~n, [~8056 Waco Drive N.W. - inquired as to the total thickness of the pavement and <br />whether or not ~he roads are being widened or going back to the original survey. He was informed <br />that the eXistin~ rr ad was out of alignment by four to five feet. He also mentioned that he would <br />be losing a nic~:' oa, :!tree and was not certain that paving would actually increase property values. <br /> <br />City Engineer J~anlmwski replied that there would be a four inch bituminous mat plus two inches of <br />pavement and:thai:We will center the road on the center of the right-of-way but would adjust the <br />alignment under s°~ne circumstances. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMEN:T <br />Motion by C°utlci!member Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adjourn the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br /> ~Publie Hearing #92-14/City Council/July 14, 1992 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
