(location) in said municipality on the (day) of February, 1992, at (time). <br /> The following (B ,l~rd~,~/~;ommission/Oouncll) members were present: <br /> <br /> i~: [!ihtroduced the following resolution and moved its adoption. <br /> RESOL~I~/ OF THE (Board/Commission/Council) OF (City/County), MINNESOTA, <br /> [ i,;'r URGING THE STATE OF MINNESOTA TO EXPAND THE <br /> F{LIN~!NG~ ¢ FOR THE STATE OUTDOOR RECREATION GRANT PROGRAM <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the E,~at~ has invested over $50 million In local outdoor recreation projects, which has been matched <br />by over $57 million in i(::)~l~' Ii ~ernment~ funds. <br /> WHEREAS, ti1e ;~ta~iprogram has been significant incentive to local governments to undertake needed park <br />acquisition and develol3~ent~proiects. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the ,~late_; Program has helped accelerate renovation and replacement of facilities that did not meet the <br />handicapped accesslble ~tar~ <br /> WHEREAS, park~ pl~Y an important role in many communities' economic development efforts by improving the <br />desirability of the comm~r~,. as ~ place to live and work. <br /> WHEREAS, the l::lt~m ,~ for State assistance through this program remains strong and that in 1991 only $1 million <br />in State fur)ds was availa~e 0 help meet over $4 million in grant requests. <br /> NOW THEREFO ~E, BE IT RESOLVED by the (Board/Gommission/C. ouncil) of (C~/County), Minnesota, that the <br />(Board/Community/CoLi jell [0roes the State to continue and expand funding for the State's Outdoor Recreation Program <br />to help Io~t govemme ~,ti r{>ugho~ Minnesota provide adequate o~tdoor recreation opportunities, acquire and protect <br />open space areas and ~prd~. ~e the qual~ of life for present and future generations. <br /> <br /> The motion for tI~ a I~ption for the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by and upon roll call being <br />taken thereon the follo~g oted via voice: <br /> <br /> L.h <br />Whereupon said resolution ~as declared duly passed and adopted and was signed by the and <br />attested to by ~' ~ r, .Passed by the (Board/Commission/Council) of (City/County), Minnesota <br />ti~is ~ day of.
