7.51.06 ~umber of Licenses Which May be IssUed <br /> <br /> Ag a ihird class City defined in M.S.§410.01, the City may issue a maxinmrn of <br />I2 on-sal~ int~0×icating liquor licenses and there is no statutory limit on the number Of <br />off-sale ifi~toxi~ating liquor licenses the City may issue. State law leaves the maximum <br />number of on-Kale liquor licenses in the sound discretion of the City Council. <br /> <br />7.51.07 ~ferm and Expiration of Licenses <br /> <br /> E~h :ticense shall be issued for a maximum period of one year. All licenses, <br />except tet~po~ary licenses, shall expire on June 30 of each year unless another date is <br />provided bY m:dinance. All licenses shall expire on the salne date. Temporary licenses <br />exptre aeCor~ng to thexr terms. Consumption and display permits issued by the <br />Commiss~0nex4 of Public Safety, and the accompanying city consent to the pen:ak., shall <br />expire on ~lar~h 31 of each year. . <br /> <br />7.51.08 l{ind$ of Liquor Licenses <br /> <br /> The COuncil is authorized to issue the following licenses and permits3 up to the <br />number specified in Section 7.51.06 of this ordinance. <br /> <br /> . <br /> a. 3.2'rPERCENT MALT LIQUOR oN-SALE LICENSES, which may be issued <br />only to re!taur~ants, hotels, clubs, bowling centers and establishments used exclusively for <br />the sale o~ 3.2 ~percent malt liquor with the incidental sale of tobacco and soft drinks. <br /> <br /> b. 3.2'PERCENT MALT LIQUOR OFF-SALE LICENSE. <br /> c. TEMPORARY 3.2 PERCENT MALT LIQUOR LICENSES which may be <br />issued onk;y to a club, charitable, religious or nonprofit organization. <br /> <br /> d. ~' OFF-SALE INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSES, which may be issued <br />only to eixclu[sive Liquor stores. The fee for an-off sale intoxicating liquor license <br />established by the Council under Section 9 shall not exceed $200 or a greater amount <br />which may be:permitted by M. S. § 340A.408, subd. 3, as it may be amended from time <br />to time. <br /> <br /> e. i ON-SALE INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSES, which may be issued to <br />the following cstablislanents as defined by M. S. § 340A. 101, as it may be amended fi'om <br />time to timei and this ordinance: hotels, restaurants, bowling centers, club~ or <br />congressionally chartered veterans organizations, and exclusive liquor stores. Club <br />licenses may be issued only with the approval of the Commissioner of Public Safety. The <br />tee ~br club licenses established by the Council under Section 9 of this ordinance shall <br />not exceekl the amounts provided for in M. S. § 340A.408, subd. 2(b), as it may be <br />amended ~romltime to time. The Council may in its sound discretion authorize a retail on- <br />sale licensee to dispense intoxicating liquor off the licensed premises at a community <br />festival h~ld Mthin the city under the provisions ofM.
