Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #15-01-002 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING SITE PLAN FOR FIRE STATION NO. 2 TO BE <br />LOCATED AT 5650 ALPINE DR NW <br />WHEREAS, on August 11, 2014, the City Council authorized a contract with BKV <br />Group to provide final design services for a new Fire Station No. 2; and <br />WHEREAS, on November 17, 2014, the City received plans from BKV Group for Site <br />Plan Review for Fire Station No. 2; and <br />WHEREAS, on December 4, 2014, the Planning Commission reviewed the Site Plan, <br />and recommended that the City Council approve said Site Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, on January 13, 2014, the City Council considered approval of the Site Plan <br />for Fire Station No. 2; and <br />WHEREAS, Site Plan Review is one (1) of multiple steps in considering authorization to <br />build a new Fire Station No. 2, and does not provide official authorization to begin construction; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council will need to advertise for bids and award a contract at a <br />future date if it decides to authorize construction of a new Fire Station No. 2. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey does approve the Site Plan for Fire Station <br />No. 2, acknowledging the requirement for Advertisement for Bid and Award of a Contract <br />at a future meeting. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Williams, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Strommen <br />Councilmember Riley <br />Councilmember Williams <br />Councilmember Johns <br />Councilmember Kuzma <br />Councilmember LeTourneau <br />Councilmember Shryock <br />
