Councilmember Kuzma introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #15-01-018 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FEASIBILITY REPORT AND ORDERING PUBLIC HEARING FOR GARNET STREET AND 168TH AVENUE RECONSTRUCTION WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted February 25, 2014, a Feasibility Report has been prepared by the City Engineer with reference to proposed improvements to Garnet Street from 167th Avenue to the north plat line of Now and Then Estates, and 168th Avenue west of Garnet Street, including the reconstruction of streets and curb and gutter, the construction of sidewalks, storm sewer, and public utilities, and other appurtenant work as needed; and WHEREAS, benefiting properties are proposed to be assessed for all or a portion of the cost of the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429; and WHEREAS, the City Council received the Feasibility Report on January 13, 2015; and WHEREAS, the Feasibility Report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is necessary, cost-effective and feasible; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1. The Council will consider the proposed improvements for said streets in accordance with the Feasibility Report and the assessment of benefiting properties for all or a portion of the cost of the improvements pursuant to Minnesota Statues, Chapter 429, at an estimated total cost of $1,675,000. 2. A Public Hearing will be held on such improvements on the 10th day of February, 2015 in the Council Chambers of City Hall at 7:00 p.m., and the Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvements as required by law. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Johns, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Strommen Councilmember Kuzma Councilmember Johns Councilmember LeTourneau Councilmember Riley Councilmember Shryock Councilmember Williams
