Attached to the Weekly Update is the Complete 2015 State of the City Presentation. <br />Metropolitan Council Tour. Anoka County has informed us that the Met Council Chair, staff <br />and at least one of the council reps will be touring Anoka County on Thursday, February 26 from <br />2:45 — 3:15 pm. They would like to spend some time in the City of Ramsey looking at the NorthStar <br />station, projects funded through livable communities, and meet with representatives of the City. <br />Staff will be preparing a brief presentation. If any Councilmember would like to join us on the <br />tour please let me know. Mayor Strommen has indicated that she would probably be available to <br />attend. <br />Flaherty and Collins Refinancing Update. Representatives of F &C have recently notified the <br />City that they (in their words) ... received an unexpected offer to purchase the property about two <br />weeks ago, and F &C wasn't sure they were going to consider it since they were so far along with <br />the refinance. However, we signed a purchase agreement with the buyer on Friday, and they're <br />stepping into our shoes with the same loan with PNC. The buyer is a very experienced multi- <br />family property owner with over 41,000 units under ownership /management. The plan is to close <br />the entire transaction within the next 30 days. <br />Highway 10 Subcommittee meetings. The Highway 10 Subcommittee (Mayor Strommen, <br />Councilmembers LeTourneau and Shryock), El Tinklenberg, local business representatives, and <br />City staff, met with Congressman Tom Emmer on Monday, February 16 to discuss support of <br />Highway 10 improvements. Representative Emmer pledged to do whatever he could to move <br />forward proposals for improving Highway 10. The Highway 10 Subcommittee is also scheduled <br />to meet with Anoka County Representatives on Friday, February 27 to discuss legislative <br />coordination. <br />Registration for the 7th Annual Ramsey EDA Business Expo now open! The City of Ramsey <br />Economic Development Authority (EDA) proudly presents its 7 Annual Ramsey EDA Business <br />Expo, on Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. — 2:00 p.m. at The Fountains of Ramsey, 7533 <br />Sunwood Drive, NW in Ramsey. Registration for exhibitors is now open!
