Council member Kurak introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 03-08-226 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING STAFF TO BEGIN THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS <br />FOR A BUILDING OFFICIAL <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Glyn Huff was the City Full-time Building Official; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Huff resigned fi'om his position as Building Official effective May 6, <br />2003; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Inspectron was hired as the City's Interm Building Official; m~d <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff has inet on several occasions to discuss the Building Inspections Division <br />and recomlnend that the City Council authorize staff to begin the recruitment process for a Building <br />Official. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the recommended annual salary range for the Building Official position is <br />$52,800 - $66,000. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, MINNESOTA as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the Persmmel <br />Conmfittee to authorize staffto begin the recruitment process for the Building Official. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Pearson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember <br />Councilmember <br />Coucnilmember <br />Councilmember <br />Councilmember <br />Councilmember <br />Councilmember <br /> <br />Fa'ual <br />Pearson <br />Cook <br />Elvig <br />Kurak <br />Stromlnen <br />Zilnmennan <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
