Council member Kurak introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 03-08-227 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HIRE OF A CIVIL ENGINEER II <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, July 22, 2003 the City Council authorized staff to reopen the recruitment <br />process for a Civil Engineer II; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, four individuals interviewed for the position; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff recormnends that Mr. Leonard Linton be hired for the Civil Engineer II <br />position. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, MINNESOTA as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the Personnel <br />Committee to hire Leonard Linton as a Civil Engineer II at an annual salary of $48,300, <br />contingent upon satisfactory background and reference checks, an employment physical and <br />a drub and alcohol screen. All other personnel policies will apply normally. Mr. Linton will <br />begin employment on or near September 2, 2003 and will be subject to a six-month <br />probationary period. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councihnember <br />Pearson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councihnember Krual <br />Councihnember Pearson <br />Coucnilmember Cook <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />Councilmember Strommen <br />Councilmember Zimmerlnan <br /> <br />and the folloxving voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
