Councihnember Cook introduced the following resolution and moved for/ts adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #03-10-291 <br /> <br />AUTHORIZATION TO HIRE PERMIT TECHNICIAN <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in August 2003 the City Council authorized staff to begin the recruitment <br />process for a Permit Technician; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, ten individuals were interviewed for the position; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff recommends that Ms. Catherine (Katy) Okerstrom be hired for the <br />Permit Technician position. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, <br /> <br />1) Confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to do the following: <br /> <br />Hire Catherine Okerstrom for the Permit Technician position at $38,272 annually <br />($18.40/hr) plus benefits, contingent upon successful completion of criminal background <br />and reference checks and passing an employment physical and drug screen. Ms. <br />Okerstrom will be subject to a six-month probationary period and her start date will be <br />November 19, 2003. All other personnel polices will apply normally. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Kurak, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councihnember <br />Councihnember <br />Councilmember <br />Councilmember <br />Councihnember <br />Councilmember <br /> <br />Cook <br />Kurak <br />Elvig <br />Pearson <br />Stron~nen <br />Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
