February 9, 2004

Ramsey Board of Adjustment
15153 Nowthen Blvd. NW
Ramsey, Mn 55303

Dear Board Members,

In regards to the trailers at 18015 Ute S~.

Last spdng my husband took a picture (enclosed) to City Hall and asked if we
really had to look at this from our living room. The reason behind the request
was that he is now retired and home to look out the window. (At the Board of
Adjustment hearing on Feb 5t" I was surprised to hear people claim this is some
sort of vendetta.)

Chris Anderson informed him that We did not have to look at the trailers, they
were in violation of City ordinance. That was exciting news.

After Jeff Rochow was notified by the City he came over to Our house and
informed George that he was not going to move the trailers to the side of his
garage or in his ddveway because he didn't want them by his house. He also
stated that if he had to move them someone was going to pay. His attitude came
across as one of angry intimidation.

I believe the conclusion of the Board of Adjustment hearing was that Jeff can
apply for a permit to park the trailers where he wants them and any future
complaints by the neighbors will then be handled by City Hall or he can have a
variance to build a garage. I would rather look at the trailers than have a building
there.

Back at the beginning, City Hall should have said 'We will ask your neighbor to
move the trailers but if he doesn't want to he doesn't have to." That would have
provided the same results with much less effort expended by all.

Yours truly,

Sue VanWagner
18026 Ute St.
Ramsey, Mn 55303
763-753-4034

17
