Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved lbr its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #04-03- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTIOb( ADOPTING FINDING OF FACT #0 RELATING TO A REQUEST <br />FROM ./AMES COROLEWSKI FOR A HOME OCCUPATION PERIVlIT TO <br />ESTABLISH AN IN-HOME GUNSMITHING FACILITY ON THE PROPERTY <br />LOCATED AT 15511 'BASALT STREET N.W. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey received an application from James Corolewski for a <br />home occupation permit to operate a gunsmithing shop within the dwelling on the property <br />generally known as 15511 Basalt Street NW and legally described as follows: <br /> <br />Lot 7, Block 2, High Point Addition, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />(the "Subject Property") <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />FLa~MSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA that the findings of fact relating <br />to the request are determined to be as follows: <br /> <br />That on February 9, 2004, James Corolewski, hereinafter referred to as "Applicant", <br />properly applied for a home occupation permit to establish and operate a gunsmi~hing <br />shop in his home. <br /> <br />That the Applicant appeared before the Ramsey Planning Commission for a public <br />hearing pursuant to Section 9.03.05 of the City Code on March 11, 2004, and that said <br />public hearing was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are <br />hereby incorporated as a part of these findings by reference. <br /> <br />3. That the Subject Property is zoned R-1 Single Family Residential. <br /> <br />4. That the Subject Property is approximately 1.9 acres in size. <br /> <br />That a Home Occupation Permit is required in order to conduct in-home commercial <br />activities in the R-1 Single Family Residential District. <br /> <br />That the Applicant has stated that the gunsmithing activities Mil consist of repair, <br />cleaning, modification, restoration and customizing existing firearms; there is no <br />manufacture of firearms associated with the proposed business. <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />That tits Applicant has provided documentation to support that the home occupation will <br />be conducted within the private dwelling on the property, that the area set aside for the <br />home occupation does not exceed 20% of the total floor area of the private dwelling, and <br />the operation will not include any employment of persons not-residing in the private <br />dwelling in the performance of the home occupation. <br /> <br />41 <br /> <br /> <br />
