RAMSEY TOWNS HIP <br />RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN BOARD <br /> <br />The Town Board of Ramsey Township hereby resolves: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Town Board that there is <br />a certain amount of Dutch Elm plant diseases effecting the elm trees within <br />the Township, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to protect the health and welfare of the citizens of <br />the Township, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to control Dutch Elm and other plant diseases the <br />best known means possible is, to remove diseased trees and plants. <br /> <br /> NOW, WHEREFORE, the Town Board hereby a.uthorizes its zoning officer <br />and health officer to enter and inspect any public or private place which might <br />harbor diseased elm trees and the Town Board hereby authorizes said zoning <br />officer and health officer to require the summery removal of diseased trees from <br />public or private places and said removal is to be done at the expense of the <br />owner, which expense shall be a lien upon the property and may be collected <br />as a special assessment as provided by Minnesota Statutes Annotated 429.101. <br /> <br />This Resolution is adopted pursuant to M.S.A. 18.021 and 18.022. <br /> <br />PASSED by the Town Board this 20th day of August, 1973. <br /> <br />TOWN BOARD CHAIRMAN <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />TOWNSHIP CLERK <br /> <br /> <br />
