RESOLUTION #78-45 <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> <br /> W~-~REAS Mayor Cox, Councilmen Reimann and Mickelson and former <br />Councilman Gorham are the defendants in the United States District <br />Court Law Suit known as <br /> <br /> Dom~a Nelson vs. Arnold L. Cox individually and as Mayor of the <br />City of Ramsey, Gary Reimann, Gary Gorham and David Mickelson in- <br />dividually and as Councilmen of the City of Ramsey and, <br /> <br /> ~-JEREAS the City Council previously passed a resolution to in- <br />demnify the above named defendants for their attorneys fees in de- <br />fense of the action and any damages awarded against them and <br /> <br /> ~-~REAS the above defendants upon advise and consultation with <br />their attorneys and the Court feel that it is economically in their <br />best interests and in the best interests of the City that the matter <br />be settled without admitting any liability on the defendants part. <br />Now, therefore, it is hereby resolved that the City pay to the <br />Defendant Do~ma Nelson $6,500 as and for a complete and full settle- <br />ment of this matter; that $5,000 of said $6,500 be paid the defendant <br />on or before December 4, 1978 and that the balance be paid on or be- <br />fore January 4, 1979. <br /> <br />Passed this 27th day of November, 1978. <br /> <br />MEMBERS VOTING YES: <br /> <br />Councilman Gamec <br />Councilman Mickelson <br />Councilman Reimann <br />Councilman Muller <br />Mayor Cox <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />MEMBERS VOTING NO: <br /> None <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />CI]~f CLERK/TREASURER <br /> <br /> <br />
